About Timberlea

Timberlea was built mostly in the 1980’s, and you tend to get more square footage and size than many of the homes in Old Milton and Dorset Park.

Double-garage two-storey homes on streets like Gowland, Robertson, Clements, Lyons, Marcellus, White and Moorelands (just to name a few great streets!) are very popular with growing families, and the area can be a great balance between modern features like larger closets and ensuite washrooms, and having a lot size much larger than many of the newer neighbourhoods.

It’s quite common to see pools in the yards of the larger homes, and some of the smaller semis and detached homes can be purchased for the price of a townhouse in the new area.

The area between Main Street and Nipissing has been designated as an "Urban Growth" area, with zoning allowing for buildings up to four-storeys. This area is great for shopping, with lots of places to eat and shop for groceries, plus you have the Milton Mall, which has some nice stores but pales in comparison to other regional malls like Square One and Oakville Place.

The Neighbours

Families with children, often moving from their townhouse or semidetached in the new area to get more property and a more neighbourly feeling.

Perfect For

Families who enjoy a balance of more modern features, the option of larger homes, while still maintaining very nice lot sizes.

The Lifestyle

Think soccer mom lifestyle – lots of kids activities, daycare, doing homework, and going for a swim in the backyard pool.

Not So Great For

Single people and those who don’t enjoy some work in the yard.

The Market

A mix of homes built mostly in the 1980’s, with some smaller semi-detached, link and larger single-and double car garage detached homes. Condo townhouses offer starter budget houses close to the Milton Mall.

You'll Fall In Love With

The tree-lined streets and the variety of housing options available. Also, Drury Park is an adult-oriented community with bungalows and bungalofts just behind EC Drury school (do a street view on Centennial Forest, Ledwith, Malick and Poplar)... it's a wonderful place for the 50+ crowd in a town that doesn't have many alternatives.
