The Charlton Advantage Team believes in giving back to our community and helping others
Here are a few causes that are important to us, and we hope you’ll consider supporting them as well.
Food4Kids Halton
From Krispy Kreme Valentine’s client deliveries, to our annual Food Drive at No Frills, to our Lawn Bags, this has become a very important cause for us to support. This organization helps more than 900 children in Halton with limited or no access to food each weekend by preparing packages that are tucked in their bags before they leave on Friday afternoon.
Milton Transitional Housing
Rather than doing a little bit for a lot of people, we love that MTH does a LOT for a smaller group of people to get them off the streets and into career paths and permanent shelter. Our team has become a regular participant, recruiter, and one of the top fundraisers for the annual Coldest Night of the Year walk.
Positive Space Network
This organization supports and offers programs for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their families within Halton Region. Our charity drag show in support of PSN Halton was a night nobody will ever forget, and we’ve also created and sold t-shirts celebrating #MiltonPride to raise funds for this incredible organization.
Salvation Army
The Milton Buyer Class has donated over 1,600 pounds of non-perishable products to the Food Bank, and our team has helped to assemble toys from Miracle on Main at the local chapter. We run annual Food Drives with our clients, and for each Salvation Army bucket that gets filled, we donate $500 and a local business will usually end up donating an additional $500.
Milton District Hospital Foundation
Selling Wu-Tang political signs and attending their annual fundraising ball are some of the ways we give back here. Remember that ALL of us need our local hospital at some point. Supporting this organization is so important to keep our community safe and protected.
Terry Fox Foundation
We volunteer with setup most years, and we’ve raised thousands of dollars in personal donations to this organization. We love how a very high percentage of the donation money goes towards research and not the overhead of the organization.
Royal LePage Shelter Foundation
We support local shelters through attendance at special events, silent auctions, and by supporting our colleagues at the Royal LePage Chariman’s Club challenges. We’ve also collected and dropped off many items to the shelter when our clients are moving.
Local hockey & sports sponsorships
Our team has supported dozens of local boy’s and girl’s hockey, softball and sports teams, and we love watching the positive influence of sports in their lives.
Girls Incorporated of Halton
This organization empowers girls between 6-18 years to reach their full potential, through courses in leadership, public speaking, self-esteem, nutrition, career exploration, and stress management. We love going to as many events as we can, especially the 80’s Dance Party!
Big Bike for Heart
This is a new one for us, but we grabbed a whole bunch of friends and clients and peddled around Milton in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation in 2017. Our first year, we exceeded our goal by raising $3,000, and we’re looking to top that next year.
Journey for Jacob
Jacob Middleton was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour as a toddler, and he is now a healthy young boy with a clean bill of health. We’ve supported this organization through anything from lemonade stands to donations to their annual runs.
There are so many more great causes that we love supporting, and we always wish we could do more. If you’re interested in partnering with our team for a great cause, just leave us a note below.
