Today we spent about four hours coming up with an amazing and compelling team plan for 2017. We looked back over the past year and reviewed our progress. My mentor Joe Stumpf once said that if you want to feel bad you should compare yourself to perfect… but if you want to feel great, look at the progress you’ve made from a year ago.
Then we talked about our vision for the next 12 months, all the way forward to ten years (individually and collectively). I’ve heard it said that most people spend more time planning a vacation than they do planning their life. On our team, we’ve recognized how important it is to support each others’ goals, and to have a big vision that we all work towards.
I put a cool video up about one of my favourite goal-setting books of all-time: “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.
What this means for you is another new and improved website next year, plus a much bigger presence of our team in the community. We’ve grown quietly, with a strong referral base and lots of relationships grown by meeting clients like you online – we’ll be in the Top 50 agents in Canada this year – but our brand and who we are has remained a bit of a secret for the rest of the world. That will change in 2017.
It’s a bigger list today with ten properties, but it’s not really much better than the other lists this week. LOTS of Village Townhouses on the market right now (including a few from this list), and we’re launching one soon, too. Most of the other ones are detached single-car garage homes between $665k-700k, between 1,700 and 2,000 square feet. The home on Swindale is linked underground, but functionally it’s very much like a detached home.
