Very cute bungalow on Vanier for less than most townhouses at only $332k. Is it move-in ready? No, you’d probably want to do some work… but that’s the biggest opportunity I’m seeing right now. If the cosmetic changes aren’t structural, they’re not as hard as most people think. Paint, floors, kitchen, bathrooms – they’re not very complicated renovations, even if you’re hiring a contractor. And the return on investment is generally very high.
So think about what a home COULD look like instead of what it may be now, and you’ll be on your way to finding a fantastic deal. If you’re waiting for move-in ready and beautiful, to me that space is too crowded. Make it better than how you found it, and the real estate market will always love you.
