Fairy & Iron Renaissance Faire
Step into a world of fantasy, folklore, and medieval magic at the Fairy & Iron Renaissance Faire, happening August 15 and 16 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Andrews Scenic Acres, 9365 10 Side Road.

Milton African & Multicultural Festival
On Saturday, August 8 from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm, Milton Community Park at 805 Santa Maria Blvd transforms into a day-long celebration of the town’s cultural tapestry.
Now in its fifth year, the festival features live entertainment, cultural performances, music, food vendors, local businesses, and family-friendly activities showcasing cultures from around the world. Best of all, it is completely free to attend.

Petals & Palette Knives: A Sweet Jane Austen-Inspired Cake Decorating Workshop
Calling all romantics! Eat My Sweets Bakery, 238 Main St E, is hosting a Jane Austen-inspired cake decorating workshop on Sunday, August 2 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Learn to paint delicate buttercream florals with palette knives while enjoying tea and light refreshments. All materials are included, and you’ll leave with a sweet little masterpiece that’s almost too pretty to eat. Tickets are $55 plus HST, and the workshop is open to ages 14 and up.

AfroJazz Fest Milton
The rhythms continue on the weekend of August 22 as AfroJazz Fest returns to Milton Community Sports Park at 805 Santa Maria Blvd.
Bringing together artists from a dozen ethno-cultural backgrounds, the festival serves up food, live music, and dance workshops spanning soul, reggae, and rumba, plus a dedicated children’s area filled with activities that celebrate cultural pride. It is a joyful showcase of African and Caribbean culture right here in Milton.

Movies in the Park
Pack your blankets and lawn chairs for free outdoor movie nights at Milton Community Sports Park, 805 Santa Maria Blvd. Screenings run on Wednesday evenings through August, with families arriving around 7:30 pm and the film beginning as soon as dusk settles in.
It is a simple, feel-good summer tradition, and one of the best free family outings of the season. Bring snacks and settle in under the stars.

Back to School S.T.E.M. Event
Ease into the new school year with a morning of hands-on science at Milton Mall, 55 Ontario St S, on Saturday, August 29 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Hosted by Mad Science, the event features interactive demonstrations and educational activities that make learning fun for kids of all ages. It is a great way to spark curiosity before September arrives.

Mini Maker Studio: Friendship Bracelet Making at Milton Mall
Kids can get crafty at Milton Mall’s Mini Maker Studio on Thursday, August 6 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. This month’s session is all about friendship bracelets, so little makers can create one for themselves and one for their besties.
The event is completely free and takes place in the common area near the Slime Lab, while supplies last.
