Although both my wife and I have type-A personalities, meaning we are both very detail oriented and not shy to express our sometimes polarized opinions, Amber has been nothing but kind and patient with our evolving circumstances. In fact, she has taken every opportunity to even better understand what kind of home would be the best fit for our family.
We began our process about a year ago, by conducting 9 separate interviews with realtors, including inviting 3 back for a second round. Through the interview, Amber was very pleasant, professional and honest; but what stood out was her bright personality and her ability to listen well, understanding the needs of our young family, what our goals were and what challenges we had.
As the market environment has changed drastically over the last 18 months, so has our asks and expectations, and Amber was really patient with that and never once rushed us. As the journey of house hunting can become very frustrating and discouraging, there were times during this journey to finding our forever home when we got lost and we allowed ourselves to be too easily impressed by nice staging or a home’s “potential”.
In times like these, we found that Amber’s honesty and drive to find us the perfect forever home (not just another home) is what set her apart and helped steer us back in the right direction. In fact, she actually talked us out of homes that we wanted to settle for, because it didn’t make sense for the long term goals we had discussed with her at the start of our journey.
Amber is really client centric, and it was evident when she continued to show us houses despite feeling under the weather on a few occasions. She always worked around our busy schedule to ensure that we never missed a chance to see a house we thought would be a good fit for us.
Many of her actions are also a testament to her kindness, thoughtfulness and how considerate she is. As we have 2 young daughters who are not old enough to be vaccinated, she ensured that our family was kept safe from the spread of COVID by making sure that my wife and I were the only ones in the house during viewings, despite the fact that other realtors who showed up early or late wanted to be in the house at the same time as us on numerous occasions. She was also always respectful to the home owners with each home that we visited.
Although there is no way for the homeowner to know what was done during a viewing, she ensured that we followed all COVID protocols requested by each home owner which is a reflection of how caring a person she is.
However, don’t let her nice, positive demeanor fool you, she’s a very experienced Realtor and negotiator. She’s proven to gain insights that we were looking for regarding prospective houses by conversations with other agents. Her negotiations skills also helped us purchase our forever home below asking price (which is unheard of in this market), and sell our current home at RECORD pricing for a townhome in Milton.

Her team made such a huge difference to the final presentation of our home! It looked so amazing I almost didn’t want to sell anymore!
