About Harrison

Around 2008, the market changed and the world faced an economic crisis.  While Milton remained better off than many other areas, we still felt the effects. Some owners who purchased from builders in 2007 faced an economy where their homes weren’t worth what they paid.  Luckily, that turned around by mid-2009.

There was a noticeable increase in density of housing, with many of the larger lots from Beaty, Dempsey, Clarke and Coates starting to disappear.

That being said, there are some very prestigious streets with larger homes and lots, especially on the west side of the neighbourhood.  You can see some of the clearest, best views of the Escarpment from these homes.  Sunsets are a delight.

You Should Also Know

This will be the closest neighbourhood to the proposed Laurier University campus west of Tremaine and south of Derry. It's also the right next to the only Velodrome in Canada to meet international cycling standards, and only the second one in North America (Los Angeles having the other).

The Neighbours

Singles, younger couples and brand new families are the heart of this area.

Perfect For

Starting out. There are many three-storey townhouses with not a lot of outside maintenance on the east side of the neighbourhood by the train tracks, which can be a great alternative to a condo.

The Lifestyle

Quiet weekdays and active weekends. Many residents in this area commute, so the daytime is very quiet during the week, with lots of social activities on the weekend. It smells like BBQ on Saturdays and Sundays.

Not So Great For

We tend to see less kids playing outside in this area. It could be because many residents are just starting families.

The Market

Smaller two-and-three storey townhouses make up a large part of this neighbourhood, but there's a good mix of all ranges of homes.

You'll Fall In Love With

Your future spouse. This area has lots of single professionals. For everyone else, the Escarpment views are lovely.
