Wow, after lots of fun with 50+ properties in yesterday’s episode, we’ve got a manageable list of 16 today. Included in that list is the home of choice for a cave dweller who prefers basement living (ha!), plus I’ll share why less can be more when pricing a home. Sometimes leaving a little room means that you lose more than half of your exposure.
A few “Ugly Betty” homes that could be improved for minimal cost, which are my absolute favourite properties. When I bought my house, I ripped out all the tiles because they were hideous (my wife called them Tim Horton’s tiles), put hardwood on the main floor and re-did small things like cupboard hardware and backsplash. It completely transformed the house. But what I knew is the true value came from being two doors down from a park, and the layout was fantastic. THAT’S the stuff you can’t change. Finally, I’ll show you a country property that’s so close to town it should be deemed unfair… what an incredible little pocket of homes, and the best of both worlds!
