In the U.S., it’s more common to see foreclosures or short sales (both of which I’ll explain today), but in Canada the most likely scenario is a Power of Sale. I’ll talk about what you need to know before buying one, and whether or not they’re actually a good deal.

Plus, there are some excellent properties today – a townhouse with a great layout on Johnson, plus a double garage on a BIG lot under $550k with a terrific kitchen, and that 3000 square foot house backing onto a ravine for $679k seems like a STEAL, but I can’t see the photos yet.
