Well, this March Break has been anything BUT a break for us on the team. We have some wonderful properties launching in the next few weeks, I can’t wait to share them with you.
The green button will give you the links to the TREB (Toronto Real Estate Board) MLS properties, which is the place we find most of the homes available for sale. But there’s also another system called ORTIS, which is provided by the Oakville-Milton Real Estate Board. It can be a pain to search on two systems to get ALL the information, but right now it’s the only option.
You’ll notice this phrase at 382 Cochrane in the ORTIS list:
72 HOURS IRREV IS A MUST
And I think it’s the most dangerous thing a buyer can do. IRREV stands for irrevocable, and what it means in plain language is it’s the time the offer is open for acceptance. So the seller is asking for THREE DAYS of time to decide whether or not to take your offer.
I wonder what they could be doing for that length of time…
A) Maybe trying to find a better offer on their own?
B) Maybe using your offer as bait to find another better one?
C) Taking a completely unreasonable amount of time to reply to an offer (even if they’re out of country)
D) All of the above.
If you answered D, you are correct.
Besides that, I love the condo at 81 Millside. It’s unpretentious, and not nearly as fancy as some other buildings, but the units are large and the condo fees include everything. We haven’t seen a unit for sale here in a while, because I believe it’s a solid place to live right by downtown.
And I’m pretty sure that’s a mirror above the bed at 6020 Derry. With what looks like an industrial strength bed. No comment.
