The best price range in the list is loaded with good ones between $500-600k.  Cedric and Whewell have a good battle of Plan 4 layouts.  If I had to choose, I’ll take the chef’s kitchen and hardwood on both levels for a little more money on Whewell.  The house on Harwood is a little bit older, but you save about $20k compared to these, and it’s even slightly larger.  Weston also gets high marks, with a bonus finished basement for closer to $560k.  Alexander sold as we were writing this episode… things move quick in 2015.  Not an ideal location backing onto a busy street, but four bedrooms, nice upgrades, double garage and a finished basement for $599k meant it was ripe for the picking.

And the location on Brush is ideal if you’re commuting to Mississauga or Toronto.  Plus, you can walk to the movie theatre, library, Go Train and lots of restaurants and the gym.  When your laundry room looks this good, it’s almost a sure thing that the rest of the house is in great condition.

I think the laundry room is pretty much a synopsis of the entire rest of the house.  You don’t often see an amazing laundry room but a crummy house.  Or vice versa.  It usually tends to reflect the owner’s pride in their home.

Anyway, the townhouse on Baverstock is nice, although I think having a bit of a marker on your aerial shots to indicate where the home is located would be a huge help.  It’s not far from Trudeau Park, and the area is one of the first ever built by Mattamy.  Back in 1999 or so, they were selling these for about $150,000-160,000.

Oh, and one of the most interesting homes we’ve seen in a while at 1106 Costigan.  Bungalow with loft in an area that really doesn’t have many properties like this.  If you want an alternative to Drury Park, this might be it.
