If you have deep pockets and a longing to live like a pioneer, then one of today’s homes has 130+ acres and an old log house for $1.7 million. You can churn butter, go hunting or build a fire while the rest of your friends at the country club buy beautiful mansions for the same price.

My wife likes this show called Alaskan Bush People, and the photos remind me so much of that show. Funny, because she’s definitely a “glamping” kind of girl.

I sold the property on Ellis a few years ago, and it’s a lovely layout, ready to move in. Much better than a lot of the nonsense I see for the same price, and the location can’t be beat… easy access to the 401, great schools, the library, and a park and a community centre all just up the road.

Arthurs gets a win because of a terrific floor plan and a quiet, nice looking street.  And we’ll talk about another live/work unit for sale, complete with bonus “bachelor pad” in the finished basement. That’s the first time I’ve seen one of them finished!
