Located in the Coates neighbourhood in Milton, 729 Switzer Crescent is sure to impress. The centrally-located Coates area is one of the most desirable spots in Milton, with great access to the highway to the east, the Escarpment views to the west, and the Go Train just a few minutes north.

The neighbourhood is the perfect age – with homes still fresh and new, but mature enough that the trees have grown in, and the kids are settled into their schools. Switzer Crescent is a low-traffic street just off Philbrook, with great access to a handful of parks, and walking distance to both schools. A short bike ride or walk will take you to the patio at Symposium Cafe, the grocery store, or either Starbucks or Tim Horton’s.

The street is lined with million-dollar homes on wider lots; in fact, this home is built on a 46-foot wide lot, which is no longer offered by any builder and will likely never be offered again. What does this mean to you? Less homes on the street, and a much more impressive, wider front appearance. Also, the layout inside is more balanced and not as “long and narrow” compared to the brand new builds offered in Milton.

Your first impression of this home is a delightful stone-and-stucco exterior, which was the highest upgrade Mattamy offered. It’s a Vanderwood model, with more than 3,000 square feet of living space on the main and second level.

First floor includes a den that’s ideal for a kids’ play room or a home office, plus a combined living and dining room, a family room with a gas fireplace and the kitchen with a centre island, granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The space is open, the colours are warm and neutral, and the tall nine-foot ceilings make it feel even larger.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms plus a loft area, with three FULL washrooms and laundry. The master bedroom walk-in closet is almost the size of a bedroom, and there’s a separate tub and tile shower.

When you combine a great floor plan with a fantastic area, you have everything you need in a home for many years to come.

About the Neighbourhood

Coates

The success of Beaty moved across Thompson Road around 2005, and the Coates area developed. We saw the introduction of stucco exteriors, rear lane home access and some different housing styles never before seen in town. Homes larger than 3,500 square feet began to be built, ready for growing families. Same as Beaty, the schools in this area are very highly regarded, and there’s a huge community park with lovely views of the Escarpment right in the middle of the neighbourhood.
