Welcome to 276 Whetham Heights.

This well maintained four plus one bedroom, four bathroom Mattamy-built energy efficient (Energy Star Rated), semi-detached home, has everything you need to make your fresh new start.

Located in the Harrison neighbourhood of Milton, this fantastic home offers over 2,300 square feet of living space. We’re quite certain you’ll enjoy its superb layout.

You can check out the floor plans here:

As you walk up to the home, you’ll notice the professionally installed interlock, complemented by the large wrap-around covered front porch. It’s a great place to unwind on warm summer evenings as the sun sets, and listen to the happy sounds of children playing on this low-traffic, very family friendly street.

A corner lot also means you have an additional six to seven feet of width in the backyard, making it a great space for entertaining or kids playing.

Inside, the home offers a warm and welcoming space, with an abundance of natural light, freshly painted in neutral colours, complemented with hardwood flooring (carpet free – perfect for those with allergies), and California Shutters.

The newly renovated kitchen, opposite the family room, has stainless steel appliances, a stylish backsplash, quartz counters, and a sizable eat-in breakfast area.

You also have direct access to your garage and basement from here.

The sliding patio door off the kitchen leads out to a lovely maintenance-free backyard, with an aggregate patio covering the entire area. No need to worry about cutting grass and there’s plenty of space for a BBQ, patio set up, and room for the kids to play. If you like to garden like the current owners do, it’s a great space to design and enjoy your very own raised garden.

On the main level of the home, there’s also a large separate living/dining room perfect for entertaining, or if you have young children, it can be a great interim space as a play area for the kiddos.

Upstairs, there are four good sized bedrooms, including the primary bedroom that can easily fit a King-size bed, complete with a walk-in closet, and a sizable (builder upgraded) ensuite bathroom.

There’s a second full washroom and the laundry room is also conveniently located on this level as well – no more lugging that heavy laundry load up and down the stairs!

Rounding out this wonderful home is the well laid out and professionally finished basement. The stairs to the basement line up with the garage entry to the home, and can be closed off if you want to create a separate living or work area in the basement.

There’s a good sized rec-room and a separate room which is currently being used as a fifth bedroom. There’s also a four-piece washroom on this level, which is a rare find for this model of home.

Last but certainly not least, one of the best things about this home is the location. Centrally located within the Harrison neighbourhood, this family friendly street is filled with good neighbourhoods that still look out for one another. Both the public and Catholic elementary schools are within walking distance and are well regarded.

As far as amenities go, if you feel like a Tim Horton’s or need something from the Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexal, or No Frills it’s about a 5-10 minute walk away. Just south is The Beer Store, a LCBO, and a 24-hour Sobeys, perfect for all your weekend needs.

The Velodrome is just a short bike ride or drive away and the proximity to the Escarpment also means delightful hiking, golf courses, and skiing so you can enjoy living here in every season.

If you are looking for a move-in ready home, with many desirable upgrades in a great location, then look no further – this is the kind of home and neighbourhood you can live in for a very long time!

About the Neighbourhood

Harrison

Around 2008, the market changed and the world faced an economic crisis.  While Milton remained better off than many other areas, we still felt the effects. Some owners who purchased from builders in 2007 faced an economy where their homes weren’t worth what they paid.  Luckily, that turned around by mid-2009. There was a noticeable increase in density of housing, with many of the larger lots from Beaty, Dempsey, Clarke and Coates starting to disappear. That being said, there are some very prestigious streets with larger homes and lots, especially on the west side of the neighbourhood.  You can see some of the clearest, best views of the Escarpment from these homes.  Sunsets are a delight.
