If someone is looking for an Old Milton lot with some depth and privacy… but they like modern features like walk-in closets, master bedroom ensuites and energy efficiency, we usually suggest some of the Sundial-built homes on the northeast and northwest corners of Louis St. Laurent and Thompson. Streets like Gordon Heights, Holdsworth and one from today’s list on Zimmerman.
One thing that sucks about Sundial builds… their kitchens often feel like an after-thought. Like, “Oh yeah, where can we put this?” And you see that with Zimmerman. Still, I think the value is there for what you get.
Ferguson is a townhouse listed for $399k, but expect it to go for more. But it’s almost astonishing to see anything asking that price right now, and they will get a lot of attention just because they’re the only “freehold” home listed under $400k. There is a small road and garbage fee of $46/month.
Had a client ask us about Savoline… my response was, “You realize this home is 1156 square feet?” It’s pretty small. Usually this layout sells for less than $600k, but the finished basement and nice renovations should push it up above asking. But they were previously at $650k and didn’t sell last week… which means it probably won’t jump as high as that.
And be sure to check out the bungalow with the nice big lot on Allan Crescent. Most people don’t know that there’s a street full of bungalows right in the Beaty neighbourhood. Nothing like it exists anywhere besides Drury Park.
