This one is dressed to impress!

Where do you begin with a home like 862 McEwan?

There’s so much to talk about!

Let’s start with the area: It’s on a quiet street, in a quiet Milton neighbourhood called Coates Crossing – far from train tracks or highway noise. Within a short walk, you’ll find three parks, two splash pads, two elementary schools, daycare, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, a grocery store, and lots of food options.

Centrally located, you can get on the 401 or reach the Go station in less than 10 minutes!

If you feel like staying home, you’ll also love spending time in the backyard. There’s a natural gas fire pit and a hook-up for the BBQ, so you’ll never run out of fuel.

The pergola provides shade, and if you’d like even more cover, there are sunshades on the sides and two roll-out awnings. Feel like watching TV?  There are hangers built in to the pergola to hold a television, and the hanging chairs even have wine holders!

Here are some photos of the beautiful backyard in the warmer months:

Twice a year, the Magnolia tree in the backyard blooms with lovely flowers & leaves. It’s a lovely sight to behold when it happens!

Inside, you have more than 2,600 square feet of finished space, including an open concept main level with a stone fireplace and wood mantle, hardwood floors, and a renovated kitchen with white cabinets, subway-style white backsplash, quartz counters, and a moveable centre island.

The appliances are all excellent quality, with a three-door fridge with built-in water & ice dispenser, an induction stove, and a three-drawer dishwasher.

On the second floor, you’re greeted by a loft, which is a great place for a home office. There are three bedrooms on this level, including the primary bedroom, with a huge walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. Here you’ll find a custom-built shower, plus a corner soaker tub with two bright windows. You get the best of both worlds – natural light AND privacy!

Coming down to the basement, there’s a wood bar with plenty of space for your snacks & spirits, and as well as built-in wine fridge. Before reaching the home theatre, you’ll find a narrow room that works really well for a small exercise area or another work-from-home space.

The basement has R30 insulation to stay warm, and extra insulation in the home theatre area ceiling for sound dampening. You can play movies really loud, and the people sleeping upstairs won’t even notice!

You’ll also find a bedroom/office area and a full bathroom with a shower in the basement. Every space in this home has been thoughtfully created and diligently cared for by the owners.

From the convenient, quiet area, to the great layout and finishes, you’ll truly enjoy living here for years to come!

About the Neighbourhood

Coates

The success of Beaty moved across Thompson Road around 2005, and the Coates area developed. We saw the introduction of stucco exteriors, rear lane home access and some different housing styles never before seen in town. Homes larger than 3,500 square feet began to be built, ready for growing families. Same as Beaty, the schools in this area are very highly regarded, and there’s a huge community park with lovely views of the Escarpment right in the middle of the neighbourhood.
