If you love the thought of living across from a park, with a bus stop outside your door, schools within walking distance, and a grocery store, multiple restaurants and a pharmacy just down the road, then you’ll love living at 249 Weston Drive.

The home is located on a larger-than-normal corner lot, with an all-brick home and lots of windows that flood the home with natural light all day long.  There’s an oversized double garage with extra height, and parking for four cars in the driveway. People can’t believe how well the lawn is maintained — it’s known as one of the best in the neighbourhood, and it’s accented by perennial gardens.

Inside, there are nine-foot ceilings on the main floor, with a combined living & dining room, family room, and large eat-in kitchen with a backsplash and stainless steel appliances.  There are hardwood floors in the main living areas, along with hardwood stairs and a second floor hardwood landing.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a walk-in closet and a four-piece ensuite with a separate shower and soaker tub.

Rather than having a traditional backyard, this home has a private courtyard area, with a door coming off the kitchen.  There’s a wood deck, fence, and a retractable electric awning for lounging in the warmer months. The courtyard outdoor layout allows the garage to be “attached” to the home instead of being “built-in” — meaning the main floor of this home is exactly the same size as the upstairs.  Most other homes in the area have a much smaller main floor, because they’re losing close to 400 square feet to the built-in garage.

Throughout the entire house, you’ll find upgraded trim, casings, mouldings and baseboards.  The home has been very well-maintained by the current owners, and when you combine the interior finishes and layout with the very convenient location… you’ll have a home you’ll enjoy for many years to come!

About the Neighbourhood

Scott

Built around the same time as Harrison north of Derry Road, this neighbourhood mirrors the trend of starter houses closer to the train tracks, and larger houses further west with great views of the Escarpment. The builders who sold most of this area include Greenpark, Fieldgate, Arista, Mattamy and Heathwood.  Intracorp built some somes in the north that rival some of the larger east lot sizes. This neighbourhood has one of the highest concentrations of homes backing onto green space. Even though the density is still higher than the east neighbourhoods, this area consistently breaks price records and offers some of the most impressive homes in town.
