When the current owners purchased 1380 Hearst Boulevard, they were very careful in choosing the neighbourhood – they wanted to be walking distance to a great school, on a kid-friendly low-traffic street, and they wanted to be on the east end of Milton to save commuting time in the mornings and evenings.  The Beaty neighbourhood, also known as Hawthorne Village, gave them all of that… plus more.

Imagine being walking distance not only to the public school, but also the high school and the library.  There are trails throughout the neighbourhood, and since the area is established, the trees are more mature and people are more settled in.  Plus, the lots are wider than the new areas, with 1380 Hearst having a 46-foot frontage that’s not even available from builders in 2018.

Coming up to the home, you’ll notice the interlock driveway (with similar interlock patio in the yard), plus the large front porch and the double door entry.  Inside, there’s more than 3,000 square feet of finished living space, including the finished basement with a bedroom/office, a full washroom with a shower, and a kitchenette and rec room, along with plenty of storage space.

There are four bedrooms upstairs, including one bedroom that’s even larger than the master bedroom, and another kids’ bedroom with a huge closet.  No need to carry laundry up and down the stairs, because it’s right there on the second floor.

Other great features include a warm neutral tones throughout, gas fireplace in the family room, custom light fixtures, wainscotting on the walls, and wood floors on all levels.

The street is filled with larger homes, and it’s very difficult to enter this pocket for under a million dollars.  The area will only continue to get better with time because they really are not building homes like this anymore.  You’ll love the convenient location, the friendly neighbours, and this well-upgraded home with a delightful layout for many years to come.

About the Neighbourhood

Beaty

After Clarke and Dempsey finished, most of the building took place here in Beaty back in the early 2000’s. There was a strong demand for detached houses and larger double-garage homes for the move-up buyers who were growing their families in the neighbourhoods built a few years before. This area has some of the widest and deepest lots available in the new areas, including the no-longer-available 56-foot Wide Lots. This area is known for plenty of parks, and some of the best public and Catholic schools in Milton.
